Ushbu maqolada nemis tilidagi fonemalarning turlari, soni va nutqdagi o‘rni haqida batafsil ma’lumot beriladi. Nemis tilidagi fonemalar unli va undosh tovushlarga bo‘linadi va har biri nutqda ma'no farqlash, talaffuzni belgilash, hamda grammatik tuzilmalarda xizmat qiladi. Maqolada har bir fonemaning turi va vazifasi tahlil qilinadi, shuningdek, fonemalarning nutq tovushlarini shakllantirishdagi roli ko‘rib chiqiladi.
