Abstract

Medications play a fundamental role in modern healthcare by preventing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of diseases. They significantly contribute to prolonging life expectancy, reducing symptoms, and improving the overall quality of life. However, despite their therapeutic benefits, medications may also cause side effects, which can vary from mild discomfort to serious health complications. This article examines the advantages of medications, explores the nature and classification of side effects, analyzes factors influencing individual drug responses, and outlines strategies for the safe and rational use of pharmaceuticals
