LOANWORDS AND BORROWINGS: ENGLISH INFLUENCE ON UZBEK VOCABULARY

The article examines the influence of English loanwords on modern Uzbek vocabulary. Due to globalization, technological development, international education and digital communication, English has become one of the main sources of lexical borrowing in many languages, including Uzbek. The study analyzes the reasons for lexical borrowing, the adaptation of English words to Uzbek phonetic, orthographic and grammatical systems, and their role in contemporary communication. The research also discusses both the advantages and challenges of English borrowings in Uzbek and evaluates their contribution to vocabulary development.
