THE CONCEPT OF FAMILY IN THE WORKS OF LEO TOLSTOY AND FYODOR DOSTOEVSKY: AN ARTISTIC INTERPRETATION OF FAMILY

The concept of family occupies a central place in Russian classical literature and serves as an important means of expressing moral, social, and spiritual values. Among the most prominent representatives of Russian realism, Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoevsky devoted considerable attention to family relationships, portraying them as fundamental elements of human existence. This article examines the artistic interpretation of family values in the works of Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. Through a comparative analysis of selected literary texts, the study explores how the two authors depict family as a source of moral development, emotional support, and spiritual growth. The findings reveal both similarities and differences in their understanding of family, reflecting their distinct philosophical and artistic perspectives
