This article discusses environmental protection, which is becoming a pressing issue today, as well as factors influencing nature from the outside, including the impact on the environment of non-governmental and non-profit organizations located in Uzbekistan and foreign countries, and ways to improve their activities. Additionally, scientific research and foreign experience in this field, as well as their implementation in Uzbekistan, will be reviewed. The article discusses the factors hindering the development of environmental non-governmental organizations in Uzbekistan and worldwide, ways to eliminate them, and the prospects for implementing new initiatives aimed at environmental protection through such organizations. The article also provides proposals aimed at protecting the natural environment and preventing certain problems
