Mazkur maqolada ona sutining bola rivojlanishidagi o‘rni va uning noyob immunologik xususiyatlari tahlil qilinadi. Ona suti nafaqat oziq moddalar manbai, balki chaqaloqning passiv immunitetini shakllantiruvchi muhim biologik suyuqlikdir. Tarkibidagi immunoglobulin A (sIgA), laktoferrin, oligosaxaridlar, sitokinlar va immun hujayralar orqali infeksiyalarga qarshi himoya mexanizmlarini faollashtiradi. Adabiyotlar tahlili asosida ona suti bilan oziqlantirishning erta neonatal davrda nafas va oshqozon-ichak infeksiyalari, allergik kasalliklar va semirish xavfini kamaytirishi isbotlangan. Yangi tadqiqotlar mikroRNK va epigenetik mexanizmlar orqali sutning uzoq muddatli immunomodulyatsiyasini ochib bermoqda
