THEORY OF TRANSLATION IN THE PRACTICE OF TEACHING TRANSLATORS

Today, theoretical concepts are dominant, allowing the translator to switch attention from the purely functional properties of the language to the dynamics of the language in real communication conditions. In other words, the task of identifying the social functions of language is put forward - the "text language", which is a form of text existence in a social context. Social functions bring text into real communication, into real life. The existence of such a functional whole in linguistic practice is a verbal work, where the word "verbal" means "a working language." A verbal work has external (genre) and internal (style) forms.
