Abstract

This article examines the role of multilingualism in foreign language learning in Uzbekistan from theoretical and practical perspectives. In today's globalized world, foreign language proficiency has become an essential factor for academic achievement, professional development, and international communication. Educational reforms implemented in Uzbekistan have significantly strengthened the teaching of English and other foreign languages at all levels of education. The paper discusses the cognitive, educational, social, and cultural benefits of multilingualism, emphasizing its contribution to language acquisition, intercultural competence, and lifelong learning. Furthermore, the article analyzes the current challenges facing multilingual education in Uzbekistan and proposes practical recommendations for improving language teaching through innovative methodologies and digital technologies.
