Abstract

The integration of specialized vocabulary into English language teaching has become increasingly important in response to the growing demand for practical language skills and professionally oriented communication. Tourism terminology represents a valuable linguistic resource for developing students’ communicative competence, intercultural awareness, lexical knowledge, and professional readiness. This article examines the pedagogical potential of integrating tourism terminology into English language teaching, with particular attention to curriculum design, vocabulary instruction, communicative activities, task-based learning, and intercultural communication. The article proposes a pedagogical framework for selecting, teaching, practising, and assessing tourism vocabulary in communicative contexts. It argues that integrating tourism terminology into English lessons can create meaningful connections between language learning and real-life communication while supporting students’ lexical development, intercultural competence, and professional communication skills. The study offers practical recommendations for English language teachers, curriculum developers, and ESP instructors. Its proposed framework requires further empirical validation through classroom-based research.ptimal sharoitlar yaratish zarurati ta’kidlanadi.
