Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) in education is a critical factor influencing the quality of learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness. This article examines the key issues and challenges in HRM within educational institutions, focusing on recruitment, retention, professional development, and performance evaluation of teaching and administrative staff. The rapid evolution of educational demands, technological advancements, and globalization have necessitated the adoption of modern HRM practices tailored to the unique needs of the education sector.The research highlights the significant gaps in aligning HR strategies with institutional goals, addressing inequities in resource allocation, and fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Particular attention is given to challenges such as staff shortages, high turnover rates, and insufficient training opportunities. Through a review of global best practices, the article proposes innovative approaches, including data-driven decision-making, competency-based hiring, and the integration of technology in HR processes.The findings underscore the importance of strategic HRM in creating inclusive and equitable educational environments, enhancing workforce satisfaction, and improving overall institutional performance. By addressing these issues, educational institutions can build resilient systems capable of adapting to the dynamic demands of 21st-century education. This study aims to contribute to the development of effective HRM policies and practices in the education sector, with a focus on achieving sustainable and impactful outcomes.
