TEACHING ENGLISH BY MONOLOGUE: AN EFFECTIVE APPROACH TO LANGUAGE LEARNING

This article explores the effectiveness of using monologue-based instruction in teaching English as a second language. While dialogue and interactive methods are commonly emphasized, monologue provides unique benefits in enhancing listening comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation, and independent thinking. By exposing students to structured speech, storytelling, and lecture-style teaching, monologue-based methods support language development in a systematic way. Practical strategies such as utilizing audio and video resources, guided practice, and encouraging student-generated monologues are discussed. The article concludes that integrating monologue-based teaching into language instruction can significantly improve students' comprehension and speaking abilities.
