Abstract

This paper examines the growing impact of digital tools and online learning platforms on English language education at the university level. With the rapid evolution of educational technology, platforms such as Duolingo, Quizlet, Kahoot, and ChatGPT have revolutionized the way learners acquire linguistic skills. The study reviews current research and pedagogical perspectives on the integration of these technologies in higher education. It highlights both the opportunities and challenges that digital tools present for university educators and students, emphasizing the importance of balanced, informed implementation. Findings indicate that technology-based learning environments enhance student engagement, autonomy, and linguistic performance when properly integrated into curriculum design
